Insoles
How do I choose my insole size?

Please refer to the size guide on the product sheets. When you are between two sizes, for example 41.5, we advise you to take the size above (42-43), as our soles cut out, so you can adjust the size perfectly.

How do I cut my insoles?

You can find a detailed guide here : How to cut my insoles ?

Can I use my Sidas insole in any shoes?

Our insoles fit most closed-toe shoes (running, hiking, skiing, everyday shoes) once cut to the correct size. Some models are specifically designed for a particular activity (skiing, golf, cycling, etc.): please refer to the product description to check compatibility with your sport and your shoes.

How long do Sidas insoles last and when should they be replaced?

Lifespan depends on frequency of use and the activity practised, but we generally recommend replacing your insoles every 6 to 12 months for regular use (running, intensive sport), and up to 1 to 2 years for everyday use. Our insoles come with a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Can I wash my insoles?

You cannot machine wash the soles. However, you can brush them with soap and leave them to dry in the open air or with our shoe dryers. Be careful not to put them on a radiator to avoid damaging them.

How do I know what type of foot I have?

3Feet insoles adapt to three types of arch: hollow foot / normal foot / flat foot.
To find out what type of foot you have, you can do a simple test: get your feet wet, walk on a mat and compare the trace directly by referring to this page.

Do you offer insoles for children?

Our range is primarily designed for adults and teenagers; some sizes may be suitable for older children depending on their shoe size. Check the size guide on each product page to verify compatibility.

Socks
Which Sidas socks should you choose for trail running?

The choice depends on three factors: the distance of the run, the terrain, and the level of protection required. For short or fast runs on even terrain, a standard technical sock is sufficient, such as our Run Anatomic range. For technical, rugged or long runs, the Trail Protect range offers enhanced protection for the ankle and toes, a non-slip zone and targeted ventilation panels. For ultra-distance running, see the Trail Ultra model. Use our buying guide to get a recommendation in under a minute based on your running style.

Which Sidas socks should you choose for ultra-trail and long-distance running?

For ultra-trail running, opt for the Trail Ultra model, designed specifically for runs lasting several hours: enhanced support, moisture management and additional protective zones. On a long run, three factors are more important than on a short run: the absence of irritating seams, the wicking away of sweat, and foot support to limit slippage inside the shoe as the hours go by.

Why and for whom should you choose Sidas Trail Protect socks?

The Trail Protect socks are designed for runs where the foot is exposed to impacts, friction and prolonged exertion. They feature ankle and toe protection, a support zone, a non-slip zone under the foot and ventilation zones. They are particularly recommended for technical trail running (rocky paths, elevation changes, unstable terrain) rather than road running.

Trail socks or running socks: what’s the difference?

A trail sock is reinforced to withstand the rigours of the terrain (stones, roots, elevation changes), offering more protection and support than a road running sock. A standard running sock prioritises lightness and cushioning on even surfaces, with less lateral reinforcement. On technical terrain, a standard running sock leaves you more exposed to chafing and blisters, as it lacks dedicated protective zones.

Are Sidas Trail socks breathable?

Yes. Trail models feature ventilation panels positioned on the parts of the foot that sweat the most, which limits moisture build-up during exercise. Effective moisture wicking reduces both discomfort and the risk of chafing – and therefore blisters – on long runs.

How do I choose the right size of Sidas trail socks?

Refer to the size guide on the product page: it indicates the shoe size corresponding to each sock size. A sock that is too big will form creases that cause chafing and blisters; a sock that is too small will constrict the foot and may restrict blood circulation on long runs.

How should you look after your Sidas trail running socks?

Wash your trail running socks at a maximum of 30°C and follow the instructions on the product packaging. Avoid using fabric softener, as this reduces the effectiveness of the technical fibres and their ability to wick away moisture. Air-drying is recommended.

Why does Sidas offer socks specifically designed for trail running?

Sidas has specialised in footwear since 1975, initially in technical insoles, then expanding to the full range of footwear equipment. Trail running socks are part of this approach: they are designed with the same biomechanical expertise as the insoles, to meet the specific demands of trail running — support, breathability, moisture management and protection.

Why wear technical socks rather than ordinary socks for trail running?

An ordinary cotton sock traps moisture, which increases the risk of chafing and blisters during exercise. A technical sock wicks away sweat, minimises creasing thanks to a snug-fitting knit, and may feature reinforced panels in high-risk areas (heel, toes, ankle). On a run lasting over an hour, the difference in comfort between the two becomes significant, especially on uneven terrain.

Low-cut, mid-cut or high-cut trail socks: which to choose?

The height of the sock should be chosen according to the terrain and the level of protection required. A low-cut sock is suitable for rolling terrain and warm conditions. A mid-cut or high-cut sock provides greater protection for the lower leg against branches, flying stones and friction from high-top shoes, and helps prevent debris from getting in. Our Run Anatomic range is available in both low-cut and high-cut styles – the choice is yours, depending on your needs.

Which trail running socks help prevent blisters?

Technical socks are designed to cope with the specific demands of sport. In trail running, they can promote breathability and moisture-wicking, improve foot support and reduce friction and creasing. Depending on the model, they may also provide reinforcement or extra protection. They are therefore particularly well-suited to trail runs and prolonged exertion.

Which cream helps prevent blisters during a trail run or ultra-trail?

To protect your feet over long distances and prevent blisters, opt for an anti-friction cream. To meet the demands of trail running and ultra-trail running, Sidas Anti-Friction Cream has been specially formulated to withstand sweat and moisture. A protective barrier: it forms a non-greasy protective film on the skin to eliminate uncomfortable friction (skin against skin, socks or shoes). Strengthens the skin: Formulated with 99 per cent natural ingredients (shea butter, marine collagen, vitamin E, witch hazel extracts), it nourishes, moisturises and softens the skin to boost its natural resilience.

Technologies
What is GEL technology?

The dynamic cushioning concept developed by Sidas is based on a network of micro-gel bubbles positioned in the foot’s impact zone. These bubbles gradually deform under pressure, absorbing shocks with every stride and reducing fatigue and joint strain. This technology is particularly well-suited to high-impact activities such as running or indoor sports.

What is 3D technology?

Pre-moulded 3D insoles and sandals offer immediate comfort thanks to their three-dimensional construction, which naturally moulds to the shape of the foot. This structure supports the arch, aligns the body and improves stability, without the need for in-store customisation.

What is 3Feet® technology?

Feet differ according to three criteria: shape, movement and pressure distribution. They are generally classified into three categories: high-arch, medium-arch and low-arch feet. The 3Feet® biomechanical construction identifies your foot type and provides an insole tailored to its specific support and cushioning needs.

What is FlashFit™ technology?

FlashFit™ technology customises 75 per cent of your insoles in just a few minutes, in-store. Starting with pre-shaped insoles, a specialist heats them and moulds them directly to your feet. Only part of the insole is thus fully customised; the other part, which is pre-shaped, remains unchanged during heating. The result: greater power, control and comfort, with a quick fit.

What is Custom technology?

Custom technology personalises your insoles 100 per cent. The specialist heats a flat insole and then moulds it directly to the shape of your foot. The result perfectly follows the shape of your foot for optimal support and comfort, particularly recommended for intensive use or in cases of specific needs (asymmetry, particular pressure points, etc.).

What is Synergyfit technology?

Synergyfit™ combines socks and insoles to create a perfect fit between your foot and your boot. It consists of ‘PURE’ socks, with no seams or loose threads on the inside, for an optimal bond with the insole. This technology meets the specific needs of skiing (warmth, comfort, protection, compression) and is available in different thicknesses to suit the space available in your ski boots.

What is Custom Live technology?

Sidas’ Custom Live technology is a quick process that moulds a bespoke insole directly under the foot in just 6 minutes in-store. It offers a personalised fit, vertical comfort, 3D support and stability, as well as heel cushioning.

What is bootfitting?

Bootfitting is the art of adapting a ski boot to the exact shape of the foot, a process carried out in-store by a Sidas-trained professional. By combining foot analysis, the fitting of suitable inlays and modifications to the liner or shell, this method enables skiers to optimise their comfort or improve their performance, depending on their objectives.

What is a Sidas Fitting Lab?

The Sidas Fitting Lab is a specialised in-store area where trained experts analyse the foot to offer a 100 per cent bespoke solution. Thanks to a precise assessment, this concept enables every participant to optimise their comfort or improve their performance, primarily for skiing, running/trail running and outdoor sports.
