Marcel sees trail running not only as a sport, but as a way of life

The German trail and skyrunner Marcel Höche has become one of the defining faces of the scene in recent years. Originally coming from road and track running, he discovered his true passion in the mountains. Today, he is one of Germany's most versatile athletes, excelling in both short, steep skyrunning races and long, demanding trail distances.
Marcel is known for his powerful running style and his ability to perform consistently well on any terrain. His mental strength is particularly impressive, enabling him to give his all at crucial moments in a race. This combination of athleticism and stamina has earned him victories and podium places at international level, as well as the title of German Skyrunning Champion.
Outside of competitions, Marcel sees trail running not only as a sport, but as a way of life. For him, it means pushing his limits in nature, feeling freedom, and gaining special experiences. He is an athlete who inspires others to push their own limits and, at the same time, contributes as an ambassador to further promoting trail and skyrunning in Germany.
